Francis has been pastor at Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church since January 2014. He has served churches in the Presbytery of the Western Reserve since 1995. Originally from Atlanta, Francis was introduced to NE Ohio when he attended the College of Wooster (Go Scots). He went to seminary at San Francisco Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Celinda, settled in a family home in Mentor, OH. They have three children - first year and senior years of college, and first year of high school.
Francis is deeply engaged in the day-to-day ministry of the congregation. Yet, Francis will tell you his favorite part of growing the church is being with the congregation -- take a walk, share a book, work on a project together, appreciate how we can learn from one another about how we encounter Jesus in the world. Francis is intrigued by where the Holy Spirit is taking the Church, and is eager to explore faith formation as it impacts life.
